U2 was my first concert
Interesting the current popular appreciation for U2. Is this an acknowledgement of the eloquent honesty of the written word or an expression of a deep need on the part of our society?
My own appreciation stems from the fact that I take pleasure in the exquisite balance of the well-turned music, wise lyric, and steady focus of the U2 catalog. Even when questioning those ideals that are more often lauded than interrogated within popular culture, U2 addresses uncertainty with an unparalleled elegance that shakes the foundation of society's hard fought self-assuredness.
Cheers to the boys for wooing America with an album bearing a song named YAHWEH. Thanks be to God.
